A much anticipated Aquebogue restaurant will finally open the doors of its 180-year-old farmhouse to the public this week.

The Petulant Wino, owned by star chef Tom Schaudel and operated by his 30-year-old daughter Courtney, will serve dinner begining Thursday, June 5 at 4 p.m.

It will be open seven days a week for dinner and on weekends for lunch.

“It feels pretty amazing,” the younger Schaudel told Northforker during a tour of the new eatery. “It’s been a little bit of a whirlwind.”

The 28-seat restaurant, which features the older Schaudel’s artworks and a wine rack handcrafted by Courtney Schaudel’s boyfriend Kyle Cannon, will serve all Long Island beers and a wine list that is 50 percent local vintages.

Chef Lenny Campanelli, formerly of Coolfish in Syosset and Tom Schaudel’s Jewel in Melville, will helm the kitchen.

“The menu is so much fun,” Courtney Schaudel said. “There is a large focus on small plates which is just under an appetizer size.”

Those offerings include tuna pizza ($14), marinated arctic char ($11) and chipotle braised duck tacos ($10).

The restaurant replaces Comtesse Therese Bistro which opened in 2010, but has been closed since January.
