What do you do when you have houseguests on the North Fork? Have no fear, Sheri is here.

For this time of year, it’s simple. Hit the beach!

Here are five of my absolute faves — three on the Sound, two on the Bay — along with suggestions for something to do afterward and embedded maps to help you find each beach.

Goldsmith Inlet Beach, Peconic

This is a must with fiery Sunsets and a constant current from the Inlet to the Long Island Sound.  It’s dramatic, yet serene.  And on the way back, grab some epicurean delights at Breeze Hill Farm & Preserve.

McCabe’s & Kenny’s beaches, Southold

Amazing coastlines and an incredible stretch of beach. Afterward walk to Elbow East for lunch or dinner.

First Street Beach, New Suffolk

With sugar sand and views of Robin’s Island, this beach is simply amazing!  Hit Summer Girl boutique, then stroll into Legends for cocktails, lunch or dinner.

South Harbor Park Beach, Southold

Incredible, with a huge expansive beach, and a great park where you can barbecue and the kids can play on the swings.  You must hit Croteaux either coming or going for light nibbles and rosé.

Sheri Winter Clarry is a resource for all that is the East End. A mother of two, she is The Corcoran Group’s North Fork Top Producing agent for the past nine consecutive years. She also owns a boating apparel and accessories company.
