Fine wine isn’t the only beverage that can compliment the flavor of fresh oysters or a sea salt crusted New York strip steak.

That’s why the Jamesport Manor Inn is hosting a four course dinner and beer pairing Friday, June 6 at 7 p.m.

Chef Michael Mandleur and Greenport Harbor Brewing Co. brewery manager Justin Wesnofske will present the New American-style meal paired with four seasonal Greenport beers.

For the first course, Peconic Bay oysters on the half shell served with lemon granite and cocktail sauce will be served with Greenport’s summer ale. The second course will feature a roasted red beet salad with applewood smoked bacon, orange segments, pistachios and aged goat cheese served with the brewery’s harbor ale. The main course features a sea salt crusted whole-roasted New York strip steak with maitre D butter, haricot verts, frizzled onions and sauce Bourdelais paired with Greenport’s other side IPA.

A German chocolate cake and black duck porter will be served for dessert.

The dinner is $70 per person. For reservations call 631-722-0500 or visit opentable.com.
