The Greenport Farmers Market will return for a fourth year at the United Methodist Church on First St. on Saturday.

The market will run weekly from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday through Columbus Day weekend.
The fair has lost some vendors due to the popularity of other farmers markets on the North Fork, though a handful of merchants have signed up for another year.

“We had to do some soul searching this spring about the future of our project given the decrease in vendor interest,” market founder Lara McNeil said in a statement. “We realize that we might not have a location with the best foot and auto traffic, but we believe that maintaining a market within the walkable village is important to the community.”

Here’s a list of vendors who will be on hand this year:

Race Rock Oysters

Captain’s Neck Natural Sodas

A wine booth with various North Fork wineries

The market will also feature the Southold and Greenport school gardens and the GFM Kids’ Club cooking class will be held the last Saturday of each month.
