Throw out those soggy salads and toss last night’s leftovers, it’s time for “What’s for Lunch?”

In this week’s edition we recommend a stop at Fork & Anchor on Main Road in East Marion for a foodie take on your traditional deli sandwiches.

The tasty (and moderately priced) mid-day meals include the green goddess chicken salad made with fresh herbs served on a choice of bread ($8, featured above) and turkey with Vermont cheddar and apple chutney ($8.50) . They also have an array of delicious breakfast sandwiches, like the breakfast BLT, and picnics to go.

Featuring all organic meats and cheeses from Applegate organic and natural meat, the deli also uses locally grown and in-season produce when available.
