Wine Spectator magazine is hailing three North Fork wineries as “exciting” and “forward-thinking” in its latest edition due to hit newsstands on May 20.

Declaring Wölffer Estate, McCall Wines and Bedell Cellars as “wineries to watch,” Wine Spectator’s Ben O’Donnell said the three vineyards are paving the pave for regional winemakers.

“I’m happy,” said Russell McCall, who owns McCall Wines on Route 25 in Cutchogue. “I’m also very happy to be in the presence of Wölffer and Bedell, which are historically high quality operations out here. It feels good for me to be in that company.”
