Stopped at a railroad crossing on River Road in Calverton Monday, News-Review photographer Barbaraellen Koch took notice of the passing freight cars.
One by one they chugged along, each painted with a different piece of graffiti.
It conjured up images of old New York City subway cars for her. “Here we are surrounded by all these farm fields and all of a sudden the city comes to visit us,” she said.
She pulled out her camera and began firing away. Here’s what she came up with.
