I’ve never eaten at Erik’s Breakfast & Lunch on Route 48 and left with something other than a smile on my face.

After I finished my breakfast there last week, I went on Yelp to see what other people had to say about what makes this place so great.

Is it the simple, yet tasty food? The sunny indoor dining room? The side patio that makes you feel like you’re on vacation somewhere (which maybe you are)?

It turns out people like this place for all those reasons and more.

“A nice homey atmosphere,” one tourist review read.

“As a local, I find it worth the trip and the value for the money,” said another reviewer.

My recommendation is to try Erick’s for breakfast — where options are more limited on the North Fork and they do it right. The pastrami hash with either eggs or french toast is among my favorites.
