Rock ‘n’ roll Hall of Famer Mavis Staples is taking the stage at the Suffolk Theater Saturday night in Riverhead.
An icon of rhythm and blues, soul & Gospel music, Ms. Staples is a veteran artist with more than 50 years in the industry performing solo and with her group, the Staple Sisters. She is Lifetime Grammy Award winner, National Heritage Fellowship award winner and included on VH1’s list of 100 Greatest Women of rock ‘n’ roll.
Known for songs such as “She’ll Take You There,” the Staple Singers have been called “God’s greatest hit makers.”

Tickets are $50 at the door. The restaurant and bar will open prior to the show at 6:30 p.m. A la carte menu is available throughout the evening.
