CYNDI MURRAY PHOTO |Country Kitchen’s Jamesport Burger.

Even growing up on the North Fork, I somehow had never been to Jamesport Country Kitchen.

When I finally went Sunday I had high expectations, and they were met as soon as I saw my Jamesport Burger. When it was put on the table in front of me it was love at first sight, or maybe smell.

Served on freshly baked focaccia bread the ground beef, peppered with spices and topped with Boursin herb cheese — it really is all you can ask for in a burger, especially at the price.

For $10 you get a deliciously juicy burger, fries and even a piece of fruit. All served with a warm smile from the tight-knit staff.

My only regret is that I hadn’t tried it sooner.

Country Kitchen is located at 1601 Main Road, Jamesport. (map it)
