Jorma Kaukonen — a finger-picking blues, folk, country and bluegrass musician — is scheduled to perform at the Suffolk Theater on March 30.
Mr. Kaukonen is a founding member of Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna. He’s also received a Grammy nomination and is a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee.
Mr. Kaukonen’s artistry could be heard on Jefferson Airplane songs, especially “Somebody to Love,” “White Rabbit,” and “Embryonic Journey.” His unique and timeless finger-style guitar blossomed with Hot Tuna, in which he played traditional and original blues and folk music. In 2003, Mr. Kaukonen was nominated for a Grammy for his album “Blue Country Heart,” which featured artists Jerry Douglas and Bela Flek.
Tickets cost $45. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m. An a la carte menu will be featured throughout the evening. For more information, visit suffolktheater.com.
