Shinn Estate Vineyards will host two of its annual Futures Dinner on Saturday, Feb. 1 and then again on Saturday, Feb. 8.
The dinners feature a full spread of breads, cheeses and appetizers, followed by a big bowl of savory stew paired alongside 10 to 12 of Shinn’s yet to be bottled wines.
This year the tastings include white wines from 2013 and barrel samples of reds from the extraordinary 2012 vintage —among the best back-to-back vintages the winery has ever experienced, according to owner David Page.
The dinners kick off at 6:30 p.m. at Shinn Estate Vineyards located at 2000 Oregon Road, Mattituck.
The cost is $95 per person. $40 of the purchase price will be discounted from wine futures purchases on the night of the event.
Proceeds from the Futures Dinners to provide “seed money” for bottles, corks and labels.
