Some of your favorite celebrities and athletes will be sipping vino from Lieb Cellars later this week.

As part of its new marketing plan for 2014, the Cutchogue winery has signed on to be the official wine sponsor of “The 50 Yard Lounge” and “Big Game Big Give,” two high-profile events taking place later this week in New York City that will be attended by the likes of football great Doug Flutie and award-winning actor Alec Baldwin, respectively.

“We have rebranded both Lieb Cellars and Bridge Lane, redefined our target audiences for each and have a robust, exciting marketing plan in place for 2014,” said Ami Opisso, Lieb’s general manager. During the “50 Yard Lounge” event, Lieb Cellars will introduce two new wines to its portfolio — Bridge Lane Red Blend and Bridge Lane White Blend.

“Sponsoring Big Game Big Give and The 50 Yard Lounge is the perfect way for us to re-launch in NYC and to start the year off in a big way,” Ms. Opisso said.

Lieb’s award-winning wines will be featured at “The 50 Yard Lounge” Jan. 29, an exclusive ticketed event that where guests will enjoy football, music and dishes by celebrity chefs. Famous athletes like Mr. Flutie, a former NFL quarterback, and Cris Carter, a former NFL wide receiver, are slated to attend.

But the fun doesn’t stop there.

On Jan. 31, the winery’s 91-point pinot blanc, Wine Enthusiast-praised sparkling wine Blanc de Blancs and as-yet unreleased 2008 Reserve Merlot will be exclusively poured at “Big Game Big Give,” an exclusive cocktail party and charity auction hosted by Mr. Baldwin and The Giving Back Fund. Proceeds from the evening will benefit The Giving Back Fund’s new Philanthropic Mentoring Program as well as benefit as local New York City charity.
