Itzhak Perlman conducts summer students at The Perlman Music Program on Shelter Island.

The Perlman Music Program has been associated with summer on Shelter Island the past couple years. But for the first time ever this weekend, they’ll be playing winter concerts at the Clark Arts Center on Shore Road in Shelter Island Heights.

The Perlman Music Program alumni Wanzhen Li and Michael Bukhman present a  program of classical masterworks for violin and piano by Elgar, Mozart, Sarasate, Schubert, and Ysaye.

From China and Israel, respectively, both Wanzhen Li and Michael Bukhman are world-renowned performers, winners of numerous competitions and alumni of The Perlman Music Program’s Chamber Music Workshop.
