Local restaurateur Dennis McDermott and his East Main Street eatery The Riverhead Project are featured in “Secret Wedding,” a one-hour special airing Dec. 27 on TLC.
In a sneak peak posted earlier this month on Entertainment Tonight’s website, Mr. McDermott, who is joined in the clip by British television personality Cat Deeley (“So You Think You Can Dance”) helps brainstorm wedding hors d’oeuvres ideas with Sara, a frugal bride-to-be from Long Island who’s in the midst of planning her nuptials.
The catch? TLC producers are secretly planning to give Sara the wedding of her dreams, not the documentary about low-budget weddings she thinks they’re shooting. And The Riverhead Project, with the assistance of executive chef Lia Fallon, is going to help make those dreams a reality.
“Secret Wedding” airs Friday, Dec. 27 at 10 p.m. on TLC.
