If you traveled along Sound Avenue in Riverhead Saturday afternoon, chances are you saw area farms transformed into a Winter Wonderland.

In addition to enjoying one of the most picturesque snowy scenes on the North Fork, Hallockville will be opened this weekend on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. for guided tours. The last tour starts at 3 p.m.

Hallockville’s Miss Ella’s Holiday Shop is also open noon to 4 p.m. and offers a variety of seasonal gift items and handmade local crafts.

Simultaneously, the North Fork Trolley Company is conducting its popular “Polar Express” trolley ride, which includes a stop at Hallockville. They are utilizing one of the museum’s buildings to stand in for “Santa’s workshop” at the “North Pole.” The trolleys arrive between 4 and 8 p.m.
