While there is no end to local weekend activities during the summer, things have a tendency to slow down on the East End once the cold weather arrives. There is, however, one standout event that keeps the North Fork swinging no matter the temperature.

Winterfest, also known as Jazz on the Vine, is Long Island Wine Country’s premiere event. The six-week concert series — stretching from February through March — is an adventure that takes guests to many of the North Fork’s vineyard tasting rooms to sample local wines and enjoy live music from talented jazz performers.

Plans for Winterfest 2014 are already underway and the musical lineup is expected to include greater diversity with the addition of blues, soul and country performers.
