The Eat Me, Drink Me food truck pulled into Greenport for Taste North Fork last weekend and brought with them their increasingly popular 100% grass-fed beef burger.

The rolling restaurant features a wide variety of high quality and freshly made soups, sandwiches, baked goods and several choices of burgers – many named after Alice in Wonderland characters (The White Rabbit, Mad Hatter, Red Queen, Bruno and, of course, Alice).

On an autumn Saturday, this reporter strayed from the theme and opted for the Ale House cheddar and bacon burger. The juicy meat practically melted in my mouth. Add the bacon and warm gooey Vermont cheddar cheese and it’s an irresistible combination. So crave worthy in fact that they sold out during the Maritime Festival!

Chef Michelle Panciarello said there is one big secret behind the success. “Everything is picked up on the morning we make it,” she said. “So it’s fresh.”

The Eat Me, Drink Me food truck regularly travels around Suffolk County. To find out their next location, check out their Facebook page.
