An artists’ reception for the group show “The Elements of Art” will be held Saturday, Oct. 12, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Gallery Crossing in Peconic. The show, which ends Oct. 14, features sky- and landscapes by painters Joanne Rosko, Aubrey Grainger and Patricia Garrity and photographer Jessica Cavolina.
Work by local ornithological and landscape photographer Sue Schaffer is on view at Clovis Point Wines in Jamesport. An artist’s reception is set for 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12.
Photographer Linda Burke is October’s artist of the month at Old Town Arts and Crafts Guild in Cutchogue. Ms. Burke photographs children and families on the North Fork, but she works with a broad range of subjects.
Call for artists and craftspeople: East End Arts is accepting submissions for its upcoming Holiday Gift Boutique, which will be open Nov. 15 to Dec. 22 at the Riverhead gallery. One-of-a-kind handmade ornaments, greeting cards, jewelry, wearables, ceramics and gift-ware are sought.
