It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No, but it is something you need to see to believe—a skydiver acting as a human bowling ball.

All Star Bowling and Skydive Long Island are hosting the fundraiser “Human Bowling Ball Event,” which aims to score funds for New Beginnings Community Center, a facility designated to treat individuals with traumatic brain injuries and other physical and cognitive disabilities.

The money raised will benefit the construction of New Beginning’s Brendan House on Sound Ave., in Riverhead. The site will be the future home of Michael Hubbard — the Riverhead teen who was severely burned and suffered brain injuries in a gel candle explosion in May 2011.

The Human Bowling Ball Event takes place on Sunday Sept. 15 at 3 p.m. at Skydive Long Island, 400 David Court Calverton. Admission is $10.
