Oktoberfest is known the world over for its over-the-top celebration of all things beer. The 16-day festival held annually in Germany draws in a crowd of more than 6 million people each fall.

But just because you can’t make it Munich doesn’t mean the festivities are out of reach. You can get your fill of authentic German food, music, beer and wine during Martha Clara Vineyards’ 12th annual Oktoberfest this weekend.

The two-day event is scheduled for Saturday Sept. 7 and Sunday, Sept. 8 from 1-5 p.m., rain or shine, at 660 Herricks Lane, Riverhead.

Admission is $12.50 each in advance online or $15 at the door.  Food, beer and wine sales at the event will be cash only.
