On Friday, Sept. 20, from 6 to 9 p.m., the East End Seaport Museum & Marine Foundation will officially kick off the 24th annual Maritime Festival with an enhanced Land and Sea cocktail reception (sponsored by northforker.com) at the museum for members and guests. The “sea” portion will consist of special seafood dishes from local restaurants and an oyster and clam bar hosted by SPAT; the “land” will be represented by signature dishes from local restaurants.

Local beverages served at the event will be wines from Sparkling Pointe and Lieb Cellars and beers from Greenport Harbor Brewing Company. Nautical music will enhance the maritime ambiance.

Several local merchants have donated prizes that will be given away during the evening. There will be a 50/50 raffle and each attendee will receive a complimentary ticket to enter a drawing for special gifts.

Tickets are $55 at the door and $45 online. For more information or to reserve a place, call the museum at 631-477-2100 or visit eastendseaport.org. Early booking is suggested, as capacity is limited.
