Hallockville Museum Farm will hold its 33rd annual fall festival and craft show Sept. 14 and 15 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. More than 50 vendors will sell handcrafted items such as woodcarvings, soap, candles, jewelry, children’s books, ornaments, baskets, rugs and more. Fiber artists will also have handwoven and knitted items for sale.
Local artisans including the Smithtown Stitchers, Peconic Ruggers, Basket Weavers Guild of Long Island and Eastern Long Island Quilters Guild will demonstrate their techniques and display crafts.
The Railroad Museum of Long Island will have a working model train display, the Long Island Antique Power Association will stage a tractor pull and farm animals will be shown by East End Livestock and Horseman’s Association.
Celebrated decoy carver Jack Combs will give a demonstration and visitors will be able to tour the museum buildings, including the 1765 Hallock Homestead house and the Depression-era Cichanowicz farmhouse.
Local band Eastbound Freight will play live bluegrass music both afternoons. Local food and beverages will be available for purchase.
Admission is $7; $5 for children under 12 and $18 for a family of four (two adults and two children). All proceeds benefit Hallockville Museum Farm.
