greenport shakespeare in the park

Starting today (August 9) and running through Sunday (August 11), Mitchell Park and Marina in Greenport will be the place to catch performances of Shakespeare In The Park from noon to 1 p.m. [Update: The Friday August 9 performance will be held at 7pm at Greenport High School due to rain.]

The event, hosted by Northeast Stage and directed by Colin Palmer, will present “Henry V,” which tells the story of England’s King Henry V and focuses on events before and after the Battle of Agincourt, as well as the Hundred Years’ War.

The event is free, so bring a blanket or chair and enjoy some Shakespeare in the sunshine. In the event of rain, the play will be held at Greenport High School.
