The annual Jamesport Fire Department Sound to Bay 10k and 5k races kick off Sunday, August 25 at 9 a.m.
The 10k race from the Iron Pier Beach on the Sound to Peconic Bay, and 5k from the firehouse on Main Road to the bay, benefit the Jamesport Fire Departments Scholarship fund and other local charities. There will be food and refreshments, a post-race raffle and music by Just The 2 of Us.
Registration is on Sunday morning from 7-8:30 a.m. at Jamesport Town Beach Road and Peconic bay Blvd and runners can hop a bus to the starting areas.
