[UPDATE: Originally scheduled for July 11, Outdoor Movie Night at Strawberry Fields has been postponed due to rain. The new date is now August 1.]

Looking to catch a good, family-friendly flick without being crammed in a theater seat?

Instead of going to the movie theater on the night of Thursday, August 1, head to the Mattituck Cutchogue Elementary PTA Outdoor Movie Night on Strawberry Fields in Mattituck.

The Disney flick “Oz: The Great and Powerful” will be shown on a large, outdoor screen for children and parents to enjoy while sitting on the grassy lawn.

In addition to the movie screening there will be old fashioned carnival games, an inflatable obstacle course, raffles, and food and refreshment vendors.

The event will begin at 6 p.m., and the movie will start at dusk. Be sure to bring blankets and/or chairs and bug spray.

The cost is only $4 per person and children age three and under are free.
