Butter was flowing at Harbes Family Farm’s 25th Annual Sweet Corn Festival this weekend, as visitors lined up to get a tast of this season’s sweet corn crop.
The Mattituck farm hosted the two-day event that featured activities like a corn eating contest, corn crafts, and the launch of the farm’s new Corn Cannon.
Jamie “Farmer Fred” Davis led children’s events throughout the day, hay rides, a pig race and border collie shows that demonstrated how the dogs do their far work.
While the kids played, parents relaxed in the shade listening to live music of one-man-band Woody Mack.
And Lisa Harbes served up fresh hard lemonade made with Harbes’ vineyards Red Rooster rosé.
