There are many great ways to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon in the summer, but a relaxing barbeque with delicious grilled food and aged wine seems like the perfect choice.

On Sunday, July 21 at 2 p.m. be sure to head down to the quaint Love Lane Tasting Room for Roanoke Vineyards. Lia Fallon, the new executive chef at The Riverhead Project restaurant, will be on hand to grill up options from the vineyard’s new grilling menu.

The afternoon’s menu is undeniably mouthwatering. The meal begins with an appetizer of grilled tequila lime shrimp tacos, followed by a salad of grape vine smoked duck breast with grilled local peaches over farm stand greens.

The main course is an espresso rubbed beef skewers with grilled fingerling potato salad. You’ll have to wait until the day of to find out the dessert, which is also to be made on the grill.

The night costs $30 per person and Wine Club members get a complimentary glass of wine.

Reservations are required and can be made by calling the Love Lane Tasting Room at (631) 298-7677. If you would like the vegetarian option, make sure to mention it when you make the reservation.

The tasting room is located at 165 Love Lane in Mattituck.
