Hallockville Barn Dance

Evan Siar of Setauket dances with his daughter Eleanor, 4, a contra dance 'The Chimes of Dunkirk' at Hallockville Museum Farm's annual Naugles Barn dance co-sponsored by Peconic Land Trust Saturday evening. This year's authentic barn dance in the historic barn was the best attended in the 10 year history of the event in spite of the downpour. Chart Guthrie of Calverton and his 'Dance All Night Band' called out the dances. Wines from award-winning local vintner Coffee Pot Cellars, hot dogs and ice cream was available for purchase. Proceeds support Hallockville and PLT.

The authentic ho down that is Hallockville’s 11th Annual Barn Dance in the historic Naugles Barn in Riverhead on July 27 will feature live music from the Dance All Night Band. 

Caller Chart Guthrie will lead the way, plus there will be lessons on traditional dances for all the novices out there.

The will be no shortage of hot dogs, hamburgers, ice cream, soft drinks, local wines and beers available for purchase.

Advance tickets are available online for $20 or at the door for $25. Children ages 5 to 12 are $5, children under 5 are free.

Proceeds support Hallockville Museum Farm and Peconic Land Trust.
