Who said beer doesn’t pair well with an egg salad sandwich?
The next time you’re at Duffy’s Deli in Jamesport check out their growler station, where you can purchase 32- or 64-ounce pours of your favorite East End beers to go.
Duffy Griffiths, who owns the deli and is a partial owner of Crooked Ladder Brewing Company in downtown Riverhead, said he added the growler station last July.
“It was something I wanted to do for four or five years,” he said. “I just never pulled the trigger. Last year everybody went bananas over it.”
Right now, customers can choose between four Crooked Ladder brews, including Summeritis, Session Pale, Gypsy Red and Spider Bite White Bite. Also on tap are Southampton Big Brown Ale and Long Ireland Celtic Ale.
Having trouble choosing? The deli offers free samples of each beer.
$19 for a new 64 oz. growler/$14 for a refill; $13 for a new 32 oz. growler / $8 for a refill. Call 631-722-2150 for more details.
