Photos: Strawberry Festival wraps up in Mattituck

The Mattituck Lions Club’s 59th annual Strawberry Festival concluded Sunday afternoon after a weekend of fine weather and a great turnout.

The four-day event, which took place at Strawberry Field in Mattituck, featured a carnival, vendor booths, live music and the traditional strawberry shortcake. The 2013 Strawberry Queen, Southold’s Leah LaFreniere, was crowned on Saturday.

Staffed by dozens of volunteers, the Strawberry Festival supports the Mattituck Lions’ community service efforts.
