Love Lane Kitchen in Mattituck has long been a local favorite for their good food and of course their coffee, which is roasted in house the owner of Long Island Coffee Roasters, Greg Heinz. Northforker was searching for interesting burgers on the North Fork when we came upon Love Lane Kitchen’s Lamb Burger.
Chef George Ramirez crafts the burger starting with ground lamb, which is then mixed with cilantro, salt, pepper, and onion. Mixed together into a patty, it sits on a fresh sesame seed brioche bun topped off with red onion and tzatziki, a greek yogurt sauce with cucumber and garlic.
Recommended medium rare, this melt-in-your-mouth, juicy gyro meets burger smothered with tangy tzatziki will not disappoint.
