The Big Easy isn’t the only place that knows how to party. Riverhead is having its very own Mardi Gras-inspired celebration Sunday, June 23 at The Suffolk Theater and you can bet your beads it will feature the hippest, funkiest, wildest music this side of the Mason-Dixon.
Local band the HooDoo Loungers brings all the sounds, excitement and feeling of New Orleans to the North Fork.
From the funk of the Neville Brothers and the Meters to the Zydeco of Buckwheat Zydeco to the traditional Jazz of Louis Armstrong, you can expect it all.
The nine-piece band features two dynamic vocalists, a three-piece horn section and a rhythm section brings NOLA’s spirit to live and never fails to get the audience up on their feet.
The party starts on Sunday, June 23 at 7 p.m. at the Suffolk Theater, 118 East Main Street in downtown Riverhead. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.
