Ms. Bollman, who is 30 and lives in Southold, created the virtual farmer’s market as a way to support local farmers and artisans. Her husband, Scott Bollman, owns Bruce’s Cheese Emporium in Greenport.
“You can buy a pound of fish from the Southold Fish Market and your soap from Catapano Dairy Farms,” Ms. Bollman says of Farm 2 Kitchen’s diverse offerings.
On Farm 2 Kitchen’s website, customers can select the products they want and have the goods delivered directly to their home or office. Ms. Bollman and an outside team make weekly deliveries to Nassau and Suffolk Counties as well as all five New York City boroughs.
“My concept was, and what I was hearing from people was, ‘If I could hand pick exactly what I want that would be great,’” Ms. Bollman says.
“We’re taking it the next level,” she continues. “We want you to do all your shopping locally.”
