Who says female comedians aren’t as funny as their male counterparts? Out to prove the haters wrong, comedians Chris Rich, Regina Decicco and Patty Rosborough who have won national comedy contests will perform Saturday night at Suffolk Theater downtown Riverhead.

Chris Rich had a long-running spot on Comedy Central’s Premium Blend and has also appeared on ABC’s The View and on Lifetime Network. She’s worked with Jerry Seinfeld, the late Sherman Hemsley, Joy Behar, Gilbert Gottfried, Roseanne, and Tony Danza. She has performed drama, opera, improvisational theater, and musicals. She’s also been a part of the resident company at Walnut Street Theatre, Trenton Civic Opera, Bucks County Playhouse and has performed at Actors Playhouse in New York City.

Regina Decicco spent many years in television behind the scenes before deciding to take the plunge into the world of stand-up comedy. After five seasons with Saturday Night Live’s design department and one season with NBC’s sitcom Whoopi, she began performing at Comic Strip Live, Stand-Up NY, Comix and Broadway Comedy Club. Regina studied improvisational comedy at the Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theatre in New York CIty and currently performs, writes and films sketches with female group Candy Slice.

Patty Rosborough is a top New York City comedian that has performed for Montreal Just for Laughs Festival, BBC’s The World Stands Up, VH1, and Showtime. She also co-hosted Comedy Central’s Short Attention Span Theater with Jon Stewart.
