The indoor Riverhead Farmers Market will return to downtown Riverhead next month in a new location.

The market is moving into 54 East Main Street, which was previously a consignment shop. It is just a few steps down the road from its former location at 17 East Main Street and is similar in size, but comes with an added luxury the old space lacked: heat. (more…)

Members of the Riverhead Business Improvement District Management Association have decided to no longer host the winter farmer’s market in downtown Riverhead, which had been an annual event since 2014.

But a few participating vendors, including Sang Lee Farms farm manager Lucy Senesac, are hoping to find another space to continue the weekly event. (more…)

The indoor Riverhead Farmers Market returned for a fourth year Saturday, opening for the season with vendors familiar and new.

Longtime favorites like organic poultry farm Browder’s Birds were there, along with newcomers like The Bearded Baker and its gluten-free baked goods.

The weekly market, located at 117 E. Main Street in downtown Riverhead, is open Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. through late April. Here are some of our favorites from week one. (more…)

The indoor Riverhead Farmers Market will return to its original home at 117 East Main Street later this month.

One of the few farmers markets that is open regularly on the East End in the offseason, it has become a beacon for shoppers looking to buy North Fork goods.

A lease is expected to be signed today, according to Steve Shauger, general manager of Hyatt Place East End in Riverhead and president of the Riverhead Business Improvement District Management Association, which sponsors the market. (more…)
