Another tall ship is charting a course for the North Fork.
Amistad, a replica of the historic 19th century Spanish schooner that made history off the coast of Long Island, is expected to dock at the Greenport Marina from Thursday, June 14 through Sunday, June 17. The deep water harbor has played host to a number of historic tall ships through the years, but this is the first voyage Amistad is making to the village. (more…)

The Hermione, the headlining ship in this week’s Greenport Tall Ships festival, arrived Monday morning to a collective “bienvenue” from more than 100 people who gathered on the docks awaiting its arrival. (more…)

A small ceremony to officially kick off Greenport’s Tall Ships festival was held in Mitchell Park Saturday morning.
Master of Ceremonies Captain Dave Berson welcomed all five captains to the Village, telling them “Greenport Village has always been a harbor of refuge and a shelter for ships. Greenport has always welcomed sailors since it was settled and it welcomes you now.”
