Due to the popularity of its visit, El Galeón, a replica of a 16th century Spanish galleon, will remain in Greenport Harbor for an extra week.
The boat will offer tours from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. until Sunday, Oct. 30, according to its Facebook page.
The real-life moving museum’s visit, sponsored by the Village of Greenport and the East End Seaport Museum, was originally supposed to only host tours through Oct. 23. (more…)

Another tall ship is headed for the North Fork.
El Galeón, a replica of a 16th century Spanish galleon, is expected to dock in Greenport Harbor on Monday, according to village officials. Tours will begin on Tuesday, Oct. 18, according to Greenport Village Administrator Paul Pallas. Admission will be $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Children under five are free. (more…)
