Duck Walk Vineyards was front and center in Tuesday night’s episode of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”

The vineyard’s Water Mill tasting room was the location for a scene shot last summer in which the ladies from the popular Bravo program visited the Hamptons and Long Island Wine Country.

A tradition will return to the North Fork on Saturday when Opera in the Hamptons presents “Cristina Fontanelli and her Fabulous Friends: From Opera to Broadway” at Duck Walk Vineyards North in Southold.

An award-winning opera singer, Broadway performer and PBS/WLIW TV host, Cristina Fontanelli and several world-renowned artists will perform a selection of the world’s greatest opera arias, duets and trios; as well as Broadway favorites and classic songs in Italian and Spanish. Kaitlyn Heath, a 9-year-old student at Southold Elementary School, has also been invited to perform.

This year’s concert will be bittersweet for many as one of its biggest promoters and supporters, Dr. Herodotus Damianos, will not be in attendance. Dr. Damianos, a North Fork wine pioneer and founder of Pindar Vineyards, Long Island’s largest vineyard, died last year. (more…)

One of Long Island’s pioneering wine families has sold nearly 90 acres of waterfront land in Cutchogue to a mystery buyer — including nearly 30 acres of mature vineyards — in an arrangement that will allow the family to retain control of those vines for nearly a decade. (more…)

Slide guitar master Kerry Kearney performed at Duck Walk Vineyards in Southold Saturday afternoon.

Visitors sipped wine while the band played a variety of tune during the event, which was part of the Long Island Winterfest: Live on the Vine celebration.
