Holiday fun by the fire at Mattebella Vineyard

Cookies, wine and more brought guests to Mattebella Vineyards in Southold this weekend. The winery hosted a special holiday wine and food pairing with cookie decorating for children.

Mattebella often hosts wine-and-food-pairing events for its wine club members, but this is the first time they added an activity like cookie decorating to keep the children occupied.

Guests enjoyed four tastings, each paired with different homemade snacks.

Proceeds benefit The Retreat, a domestic violence shelter located in East Hampton.

The winery will host the event again on Sunday from 12 to 1 p.m. and 2 to 3 p.m.

Call ahead to schedule a reservation (631) 655-9554 since space is limited.
