The Art Bus Project, the Greenport-based non-profit mobile gallery which aims to bring art to the masses, will host its first North Fork exhibit during a fundraiser later this month.

The event, dubbed “Chew on This,” will feature the chewing gum portraits (works made from actual used chewing gum) of Bronx-based artist Dan Cruz, drinks, firepits, a photo booth, giveaways and raffles.

Cruz will also be on hand creating a new piece and asking for attendees’ to chew a piece of gum to be used in its making.

“Come out and enjoy a transformative evening that not only supports a great cause, but also highlights the incredibly rich creative community out here,” said Art Bus Project founder Lucia Davis. “Sip specialty cocktails, don a Warhol wig for some selfies in the photo booth, make art, meet the artist and be inspired.”

Auction prizes include the following: a stay in a Las Vegas suite with a tour of a medical marijuana factory, actor Glenn Howerton (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) will record your voicemail message, San Francisco 49ers tickets and more.

Advance tickets are $10 (with access to a cash bar) or $15 (with access to the open bar) and can be purchased here.

The fundraiser is set for Saturday, Nov. 18 at 5 p.m. at The Art Bus Project’s Headquarters located at 2300 Maple Lane in Greenport.

Additionally, there will be a caption contest for the Bazooka Joe comic displayed below. Fill out the photo and email your entry to [email protected].
