Saturday’s episode, called Living Large on Long Island, featured a couple searching for homes on the North Fork — specifically in Laurel, Mattituck and Riverhead.

After choosing a home with the help of real estate agent Susan Orioli of NoFo Real Estate, it was time for the renovation to begin. That’s where Anthony Sannino, owner of Sannino Bella Vita Vineyard and Style Contracting Inc., and interior designer Stephanie Rose Vriniotis come in.

“It was definitely a lot of fun,” Sannino said of filming, which took place between April and July. “My construction is actually winding down, but I took the opportunity when it presented itself and they did want to shoot at our winery, which was great.”

Some scenes were filmed at his Peconic vineyard, as well as Strong’s Marine in Mattituck.

The show featured a couple with four children who find “a diamond in the rough and want to transform it into a bright, welcoming space, but endless ideas may send their limited budget soaring,” according to a description for the episode of the show which is in its third season.

Sannino said he was approached by Orioli to be a part of the episode, adding that the featured couple were the ones to pitch the idea to HGTV.

“I dedicated the time to it to make sure the project was done correctly and all parties were happy,” Sannino said, adding that he is involved in looking for another local home to feature on the show.

Sannino had a viewing party to celebrate the episode, which aired Saturday night, and said watching the finished project was his favorite part of the experience.

“I think the physical work of construction might be easier than filming,” he joked.

As for the home, Orioli noted she was able to negotiate a price of $426,000 for the buyers, down from the $499,000 asking price.
