North Fork wine grapes will soon be ripe for the picking — which means it’s time to party at Palmer.

Palmer Vineyards will once again offer live music, local beer and its own wines at discounted rates during the  “Harvest Kickoff Party” festival this weekend.

The event is scheduled to run from noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 27 at the Riverhead winery. U2 and Journey tribute bands, named 2U and Almost Journey, respectively, will perform.

Expect food from Eat Me, Drink Me food truck, wine by the glass specials and $5 beers for sale all day. WEHM’s The Morning Show with Anthony will be there, giving away concert tickets and more.

Tickets are $25 per person and come with one glass of wine. They can be purchased via the Palmer website.

Palmer Vineyards, 5120 Sound Ave., Riverhead, (631) 722-9463, palmervineyards.com.
