Alive After Five in Patchogue

Had a great time at Alive on 25 in Riverhead last week? Check out the event that started it all: Alive on 25 in Patchogue.

Main Street will close to traffic from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, August 3 for four hours of food, drinks and fun. The popular street fair, which rotates with the Riverhead event, returns for a final night on August 17.

The HooDoo Loungers at the Bellport Bandshell

The nine-piece New Orleans style jazz band will add a little cajun spice to this popular South Shore summer music series on Friday, August 4. If you’ve never been to a bandshell show, the best way to describe it would be Greenport’s Dances in the Park but on a different bay.

The free shows continue through Labor Day with a different musical style represented each week.

The free concerts are first come first serve and start at 6 p.m. Spend the day on one of Montauk’s beautiful ocean beachers and get to the venue, now in its 50th year, early to reserve your spot.
