Three things to do on the North Fork this weekend

Looking for something to do on the North Fork this weekend? Here are three ideas.

Or, as always, you can visit for even more things to do.

Help the brewery celebrate its eighth year with an all-day celebration at its Peconic tasting room Saturday, July 15. The event — which features food, beer and live music — runs from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The musical lineup includes the talented Rob Europe, New Life Crisis and The Glazzies. Southold Bay Oysters will be served along with pints of Greenport brews.

42155 Main Road, Peconic, 631-477-1100,

You don’t have to travel far from the farm to get to the table at McCall Wines.

The Cutchogue vineyard will once again host the North Fork Food Truck Saturday evening to serve up burgers made with beef from the vineyard’s pasture-raised Charolais cattle. Expect wine by the glass specials to accompany those delicious patties.

The event is held each Friday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m into the fall.

Editor’s Note: Due to inclement weather, this event was moved from Friday to Saturday. It’ll be held from 5 – 8 p.m.

McCall Wines is located at 22600 Main Road, Cutchogue. (631) 734-5764,

Peconic Baykeeper will give a toast to our bays by hosting an evening of local seafood and wine Friday, July 14. All proceeds will support Peconic Baykeeper’s clean water mission. Based in Quogue, Peconic Baykeeper is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and restoring Long Island’s drinkable, swimmable, and fishable waters.

Local wine provided by host Macari Wines in Cutchogue. Oysters and other sustainably-sourced seafood courtesy of Harvest Moon Shellfish Co. and Haskell’s Seafood.

The evening will also feature a presentation on the mutually beneficial relationship between bay health and local industries, including sustainable agriculture and fisheries. The event cost $30.
