Riverhead is gearing up for the return of its biggest block party.

The Riverhead Business Improvement District Management Association has set the dates for its second annual Alive on 25 events, a Main Street block party featuring live music, food and other vendors. And the first one is coming up in just two weeks.

The event was inspired by Patchogue’s popular Alive after Five series and the Riverhead events take place on Thursdays in the week’s opposite of Patchogue.

The dates for this year’s Alive on 25 are July 13, July 27, Aug. 10 and Aug. 24, with a raindate of Aug. 31.

The Patchogue dates are the preceding Thursdays.

Event organizers are also accepting applications for vendors and are reviewing sponsorships proposals for the 2017 season. The cost of the event, which is free to the public, is offset by community partnerships. All inquiries should be sent to [email protected]

The Riverhead BIDMA also has set Monday, July 3 for its Fourth of July concert and fireworks show this summer. As usual, three-time Grammy nominated Southold resident Brady Rhymer will perform.
