How do Waters Crest Winery favorites compare to their French counterparts?

Do you think you’d choose a fine French wine over a high quality glass of Long Island merlot?

Find out this weekend as Waters Crest Winery in Cutchogue hosts its “Best of the Crest” event on Sunday, June 4.

Three Waters Crest favorites will be blindly paired with three similar French wines. Participants can then judge how Waters Crest reds (all rated 90 points and higher by wine critics) compare to their French counter parts.

The reactions will surely be interesting.

The event is $35 for members of the general public and $30 for wine club members. The event runs from 1 to 3 p.m.

After your tasting, you might want to visit Wickham’s Fruit Farm located just across the street. Early varieties of North Fork strawberries are already here!
