You don’t have to travel far from the farm to get to the table at McCall Wines.

The Cutchogue vineyard will once again welcome the North Fork Food Truck on Friday evenings this summer to serve up burgers made with beef from the vineyard’s pasture-raised Charolais cattle. Expect wine by the glass specials to accompany those delicious patties.

The first event will be held this Friday, May 19 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Burger night will continue on Friday evenings through fall.

“We’re ready to go,” said vineyard co-owner Brewster McCall. “It gives you the ultimate farm-to-table experience. You are sitting next to the vineyard drinking the wine from the grapes, sitting next to the cows and enjoying the beef from the cows.”

He added that the North Fork Food Truck — an extension of farm-to-table pioneer restaurant North Fork Table and Inn — is the perfect partner for the weekly event.

McCall — which was named ‘Winery of the Year” at the 2013 New York Wine and Food Classic —will also release its 2014 cabernet franc, 2015 stainless steel chardonnay and 2016 Marjorie’s Rosé.

“This season’s rosé is a new blend of merlot and syrah, which is very exciting and a bit unusual,” McCall said. “It gives it an incredible, aromatic, floral quality, which just wafts out of the glass.”

Additionally, the farm’s grass-fed ground beef, steaks, roasts and the occasional organ meat will be on sale in the tasting room beginning in June.

The vineyard will be open seven days per week following Memorial Day. The food truck Noah’s on the Road will be parked outside the tasting room this summer, McCall said.

McCall Wines is located at 22600 Main Road, Cutchogue. (631) 734-5764, mccallwines.com.
