Diliberto Winery invites you to a traditional family-style dinner at its annual Sundays with Grandma series this winter.

The event features a pasta demonstration, a three-course meal paired with Diliberto wines and live performances of classic Italian songs.

“Growing up as a first or second generation Italian-American was a unique and memorable experience. It meant being surrounded by extended family on Sundays and tasting special homemade foods.” owner Sal Diliberto said. “It is that experience we try to recreate at our Sunday with Grandma series.”

Start your meal with crisp greens paired with a glass of imported prosecco. Then enjoy homemade mozzarella with tomato and basil served with rosemary and hot pepper infused oils, both made in-house and served with Diliberto’s 2015 chardonnay.

For your main dish Maryann Diliberto prepares her famous marinara to top the homemade pasta. It’s served with Diliberto’s 2014 Cantina, a merlot and cabernet franc blend.

The finale consists of pizza dolce, a sweet ricotta cheese pie and a fresh cannoli crafted with homemade cream. Sal’s Mellow Limoncello is the wine choice for dessert, made with the 2015 chardonnay instead of vodka.

Mr. Diliberto also serenades the room with classic Italian songs. Other guests are invited to join him in performing each week, along with students from Riverhead High School and local opera singer and wine colleague Dana Kowalsick.

Admission to Sundays with Grandma is $65 per person plus tax and gratuity. The event takes place every Sunday from February 12 through April 9. It runs from 1 to 3 p.m.

Advanced ticket purchase is required and is available online at dilibertowinery.com/events.
