Ugly Christmas Sweater Party

Wear your ugliest Christmas sweater and come party at Greenport Harbor Brewing Company in Peconic on Friday, December 9 from 7 to 10 p.m.

Enjoy beer and drink specials, food and ice cream, get your picture taken with Santa, and compete in an ugly Christmas sweater contest. There will also be a DJ, a 50/50 and raffle baskets. Proceeds benefit Maureen’s Haven Homeless Outreach.

Indian Island Trail 5k and 15k Race

Run for a good cause at Indian Island Park in Riverheadon Saturday, December 10.

Participants can register as single racers or part of a three-person baton relay team. Fees are $35 for the 5k, $45 for the 15k and $105 for the 15k relay. Proceeds benefit the L.I. Greenbelt Trail Conference fund to help maintain the Suffolk County Park Trail System and Riverhead Running Club. Check in starts at 7 a.m. and the races begin at 9 a.m.

Christmas in Cutchogue

Celebrate the season in Cutchogue on Saturday, December 10.

The fun starts at 9:30 a.m. with a magic show at the Cutchogue Fire Department. Then see Santa arrive via helicopter and get your picture taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Cutchogue-New Suffolk Library.

Oysterponds Holiday House Tour

Visit Orient and East Marion homes decorated for the holidays on Saturday, December 10 from noon to 4 p.m.

The self-guided tour includes refreshments and shopping opportunities. Tickets are $30 for the public/$25 for members of the historical society and can be purchased online at oysterpondshistoricalsociety.org.

Tickets can also be purchased at the Orient Congregational Church at 11:30 a.m. the morning of the event. All proceeds benefit the Oysterponds Historical Society.

SantaCon Pub Crawl

Dress up like Santa and get merry for this 3rd annual pub crawl in downtown Riverhead on Saturday, December 10. The fun runs from 3 p.m. to midnight.

$10 bracelets give you access to drink and food specials at participating establishments. A portion of proceeds benefit local charities.

Waterfront Holiday lighting Celebration

The New Suffolk community will illuminate a sailboat on Saturday, December 10 at 5 p.m. in New Suffolk.

Celebrating their nautical heritage, the sailboat takes the place of a Christimas tree. Enjoy caroling and refreshments. Flashlights are highly recommended.

Stuff the Sleigh 5k Run/Walk

Run or walk for a good cause in Cutchogue on Sunday, December 11 beginning at 8:30 a.m.

Bring a new, unwrapped toy and/or two non-perishable food items for the Cutchogue Fire Department’s “Stuff the Sleigh” 5k run/walk.  Day of race registration is $30.

The children’s fun run begins at 9:15 a.m. and the 5k race kicks off at 10 a.m. in the parking lot of the Cutchogue Fire Department on New Suffolk Road, located just off Main Road in Cutchogue.

Santa Brunch

Have brunch with Santa at the Long Island Aquarium on Sunday, December 11 from 10 a.m to 5 p.m.

Enjoy a buffet brunch in the Sea Star ballroom and get your picture taken with the Big Man in Red. Then spend the day at the Aquarium.

Adults are $44.95 (Members: $39.95). Children 3-12: $26.95 (Members: $24.95) Children two and under are free.

Orient Community Christmas Sing

Come hear holiday music at Poquatuck Hall in Orient on Sunday, December 11 at 2 p.m.

Performers include the Greenport High School a cappella choir. Cookies and cider will also be served.
